IMPACT Hosts 23^rd Edition of Thailand International Dog Show
Under the Theme “Dog Show Adventure”
More Than Shopping – A Place for Meaningful Time with Man’s Best Friend

IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., Thailand’s leading organizer of pet trade exhibitions, proudly presents the 23rd edition of SmartHeart presents Thailand International Dog Show, the largest and longest-running dog-centric event in the country. Spanning over 10,000 square meters, the event celebrates the human–canine bond by offering interactive experiences for dog lovers and their furry companions. This year’s show promotes quality pet parenting aligned with upcoming pet ownership regulations and includes an industry seminar exploring sustainable growth in the pet sector. The event is expected to generate over THB 75 million in economic value.

According to Ms. Kunwadee Jintavorn, Executive Director of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., “Dog-related events remain the most prominent in Thailand in terms of number, scale, and consumer spending. With more than 3.45 million dogs projected to be owned by Thais in 2025 (source: Kasikorn Research Center), the SmartHeart Dog Show—co-organized with The Kennel Association of Thailand—continues to stand as the nation’s premier event for dog lovers, offering over 300 brands of products and services.”

Long-time attendees show strong interest in Pet-Friendly Lifestyle experiences where owners and dogs can enjoy activities together such as games, shows, photography, and video creation. As a result, the 2025 event is themed “Dog Show Adventure”, transforming the venue into a shared world of exploration and bonding.

Highlights include the prestigious International Dog Beauty Contest hosted by The Kennel Association of Thailand, competing for the Royal Trophy of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother. This globally recognized competition invites a panel of 10 expert judges from around the world and expects over 4,300 dogs to compete. Another major attraction is the Professional Dog Grooming Competition by F.C.I. Thailand, featuring Thailand’s top grooming experts.

The show also features a range of engaging, joyful activities that enhance the bond between dogs and their owners:

Pet Industry Seminar: Bubble or Sustainable Growth?
On June 26, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM, the Thai Pet Product Industries Association (TPIA) will host a seminar titled “Bubble or Sustainable Growth?” to address the long-term outlook of the pet economy. The session invites manufacturers, importers, exporters, retailers, and startups to share insights and evaluate risks and opportunities across production, distribution, innovation, and investment. The goal is to facilitate industry-wide dialogue that can drive sustainable development.

Supporting Responsible Pet Ownership
As the official organizer of Thailand’s largest dog event, IMPACT supports the 2024 Bangkok Ordinance on the Control of Animal Ownership and Release, effective January 10, 2026. The ordinance mandates pet registration, public cleanliness, and animal welfare protection. The Dog Show plays a role in raising awareness and preparing both pet owners and businesses for the changes. Onsite, the event provides free health checkups by veterinarians from Hato Animal Hospital, pet resting zones, dog toilets, first-aid stations, and safety protocols including mandatory use of leashes or carriers at all times to ensure a safe environment for every pet.

The 22^nd edition of Thailand International Dog Show returns bigger in tune
with the exponential growth of Thailand’s pet care market.

(Bangkok, Thailand, 1^st March 2024) – The 22^nd edition of the SmartHeart presents Thailand International Dog Show 2024 (TIDS 2024) returns bigger in scale and size, to take place from 4^th to 7^th July 2024 at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Centre, Bangkok, Thailand.

Thailand’s Department of Business Development at the Commerce Ministry projected that Thailand’s pet market will grow at annual rate of 8.4% to reach 66.7 billion baht in 2026, making it amongst the largest market in Asia. Nearly 47% of Thai households own a dog and the pet dog population has increased from 6.6 million in 2016 to 7.2 million in 2022.

The growth of pet dog population in Thailand is attributed to growing numbers of Thais choosing to have few or no children, and opting to become “pet parents”. With changes in modern lifestyle trends brought by urbanization and pet humanization, a large number of pet owners are lavishing attention to their pets as they would themselves.

Thailand is one of the world’s largest exporter of pet food and snacks. Its growing domestic market is dominated by pet food, followed by pet health, pet care and beauty, apparel and accessories and toys.

Thailand has over 4,000 pet products retail shops nationwide. There are over 2,200 animal hospitals, and one of its fastest growing retail segments is online sales, which is valued at US$50 million and growing at 5% annually.

It is against this market backdrop that TIDS 2024, taking up over 10,000 sq meters of exhibition space, has grown to become the biggest B2B2C exhibition gathering-place for the entire Thailand’s pet dog community and market, where over 200 international and local exhibitors will display their latest innovative dog care products and services, to over 150,000 trade and consumer attendees.

Supported by the Kennel Association of Thailand (KAT) and Thai Pet Industry Association (TPIA), TIDS 2024 will also feature a line-up of exciting activities over 4 days. This include the Thailand International Dog Competition, F.C.I (International Cannie Federation) Grooming and Agility competitions, free health checks, seminars and talks on latest dog nutrition and supplements, AI enabled dog care technology, and many more other interesting pet dog related topics and activities.

For its B2B segment, Thailand International Dog Show 2024 will offer its tailor-made business-matching program, which is designed to be an affective “buyers-meet-sellers” platform to match and link its exhibitors with their targeted trade buyer attendees.
